All documents posted in the National Network for Child Care database are reviewed and evaluated for quality and accuracy. NNCC has established three levels of review criteria to assist users in determining the quality and appropriateness of material used.
LEVEL 1: Limited review by the database team. Examples: lesson plans, news releases, resource abstracts, project abstracts, draft materials.
LEVEL 2: Reviewed and accepted for publication, through state extension process, through informal regional review process, through departmental committee review. Examples: state Extension publications, dissertations, theses.
LEVEL 3: Scholarly or peer review. Reviewed and accepted for publication by a professional journal editorial board, 4-H curriculum review, SOCC review, and North Central Regional Educational Materials Project review. Examples: journal articles, nationally reviewed curriculum, federal CES publication.
